Why is it that I often remember that I’ve forgotten something but can’t remember what it is that I’ve forgotten until later?

Usually, you don’t resize you forgotten something till you’re trying to use it. Do you may remember that there’s a tool to use with a screw, but not remember the tool itself, only the fact that a tool does exist.

You’ll remember that actual thing later because you’ll see something, hear something, think of something, etc that reminds you of a screwdriver.
