Because if it wasn’t colored you wouldn’t be able to see it? What else would it be made of?

Not sure where you are from, but there are markers in many different colours and pens in many different colours. Both come in black and both come in coloured ink.

If you were to mix all three of the primary colours together, you get black. Depending on the amount of each of the three colours you can get a black that may have a slightly ‘off’ kind of hue, which may to lean towards being a dark green or red/brown.
