Your stomach is basically an elastic bag which can be filled up with liquid as well as solid food.

Calories don’t make you feel full. Your stomach expanding does. It takes time to digest the food to get calories out, so our feeling of being full us not derived from that.

But once the feeling of being full is gone, and you aren’t nourished, the feeling of hunger returns.

The internal nerve receptors get triggered when your stomach expands. This happens if you eat caloric foods or not so water will cause your stomach to expand and you will feel full
