Generally, you take in many more calories than you use while eating, enough to last hours until you need to re fuel. Similar to a car, you gas it up and drive for a while, then your car gets “hungry” and you need to put more gas in.

The same reason it takes hours to use the gas in your car but minutes to refill the tank… think things through for 2 minutes bud…

Isn’t the act of feeling hungry your stomach chruning on itself because its not digesting anything? (Can’t be fucked to look it up), but that’s why it makes all those funny noises when you’re hungry.

So as soon as their is food in there it has something to digest and expand it so you no longer feel uncomfortable.
