fungus and mold like being inside houses, not enough co2, soil isn’t at the right level of nutrition, plants overgrow their pots and their roots suffocate, tiny bugs called aphids attack the plants, not warm enough for the plants, and even negative energy will kill a plant

Houses are very dark compared to the outside, and while modern grow lights are pretty good, it takes an enormous amount of light to match full sun for plants that prefer that.

Humidity in houses is usually much lower than humidity outdoors, and this causes problems for some plants.

Many plants have seasonal periods of activity and dormancy, and need a cold period in winter to really thrive. They don’t get this indoors.

Plants need the right levels of soil moisture, which vary from species to species. While it’s perfectly possible to get this right indoors, people who aren’t experienced at growing plants will often fail to do so.
