When you’re dehydrated, why does some water have a sweet taste to it?

I’m not an expert, but I am a biology student; here’s my theory.

Your brain rewards you for doing things like eating and drinking. It does this to motivate you to continue eating and drinking, i.e. staying alive/healthy. When you’ve been dehydrated for an extended amount of time, your brain really wants to remind you how important water is. So that water is going to taste REAAAAAAALLY good.
