what is sound energy converted to?

Based on the conservation of energy, energy can never be created or destroyed. I was just thinking of this scenario: a bouncing ball eventually stops moving because some energy is lost through heat or sound energy. What is this sound energy converted to then? Or where does it go to?

Heat. Sound is more organized, when it loses its organization the kinetic energy is still there, just randomized. Though some of it can be converted to other forms of energy, like electricity, that’s how some microphones work.
