Well, a desert doesnt actually mean its hot. Antarctica is a desert. It just means it doesnt get much rain, I cant remember the numbers right now. Something is considered ‘tropical’ if it is between the tropic of cancer and the tropic of capricorn, and generally the closer to the equator the more humid and more rainy it will be. A savanna is generally characterized by a grassy plain with some trees, often near the equator, which generally has a dry season and a rainy season.
