What are those short-lived, hard nodules you sometimes get under the skin on your face?

They’re not spots or acne so much as lumps beneath the skin. I sometimes get them along my jawline.

Is this under the jawline or around your ears?

If so those are usually swollen lymph nodes. The lymphatic system works to collect random fluids that ooze out of various bits of your body. Sometimes they get a bit swollen when fighting off an infection and can turn into hard little nubbins till your body can clear them out.

I’d say it would be a type of cyst but those usually take about a month to go away.
