Principles of Non-Contradiction and Excluded Middle

Question

I’ve heard it referenced several times, and I’ve tried reading it over as well. As soon as I think I understand them, my brain seems to just jam. Is there a way to ELI5?

Non contradiction means that something cannot be both true and false at the same time. Excluded Middle means that is has to be either true or false, it can’t be none of them !
