Is there a threshold light level for photosynthesis to occur?

If so, what’s the minimum amount of light needed?

I think the minimum is barely any light at all. I believe plants grow more as there’s more light. So if it’s full sun, it’ll grow great, if you have the plant in a room with the curtains shut it will grow slow or not at all. It depends on the plant and what conditions it is suited for. I’m no expert by any means.
