I was in an earthquake once. Living in a single-wide. It was bouncing, things were rattling and shaking everywhere. My father was walking across a parking lot when it happened, it took him off his feet and he couldn’t stand up again until it was over.

My mother was driving into town, didn’t feel a thing.

Short answer, you don’t feel the vibrations from an earthquake when you’re airborne.

Why do you think you feel an earthquake in an airplane of a helicopter in the air?

When the earth vibrate stuff like building will vibrate too. It will create pressure waves in the air, pressure waves in air are sound. So you hear the vibration in the air or for low frequency feel them but is still is just sound.

You will not hear it in an airplane because the volume is quite low and the aircraft engines are very loud. You ear protection or isolated wall in aircraft. If you were in a hot air balloon relative close to the ground that you could hear the earthquake, perhaps in a glider but not in any powered aircraft.

So for the same reason, you would not hear a rock concert if you fly over it you will not hear an earthquake. I have never been in an earthquake, only seen the recorded video and the sound is not very high.
