They do get “old”, they just dont stay “old”. It is like getting appetite for food again after not eating for a while.

some things you love for an entirely different reason then what they are or they are a part of your sense of self or they’re comforting because they’re done as part of something that’s almost ceremonial at this point where you’d feel discontent not doing them.
