I saw a video a couple days ago saying that not ejaculating for a week can raise testosterone levels by 50%. Is this true? And what does testosterone do?

This isn’t true at all, the only increase or decrease in testosterone levels that happens in conjunction with masturbation/sex/ejaculation is that during the act T levels actually rise and then fall back to normal levels. Though there isn’t a lot of study on the matter of abstaining from masturbation/sex/ejaculation showed that T levels could drop if one decided to do so but it wasn’t clear if there was direct correlation between the T level drop and abstinence. This idea of denying sexual pleasure to oneself for the purpose of raising testosterone or experiencing some hyper masculine idea of total control over mind and body is often rooted in troubling and regressive modes of thinking and is best if avoided.

Testosterone is one of the main hormones in men’s bodies that separate us from women. It promotes muscle growth, deepening of the voice, facial/body hair growth and increases aggression.

I have been experimenting with semen retention/ Coitus Reservicus for a while now. I don’t know if it’s testosterone related, but I do feel stronger, more energetic, and my tolerance for cold weather goes way up when I have abstained for 7 days or more. I would like to know why though.
