For most countries fossil fuels (coal) is burnt to generate electricity so the more electrical devices are used the more coal is burnt and the more CO2 is produced.

Electricity is made in power plants which burn fossil fuels.

The creation of phones requires resource collection and assembly which requires, yup you guessed it, fossil fuels.

It should be noted that energy produced in a PowerPlant is way more efficient then a gas powered generator. And an electric car is more efficient then a gas car. So strive to go green, maybe plant a tree or help a patch of moss grow
