How does Under Armor material work? Can it insulate objects as well?

Under Armor material is designed to do several jobs: be comfortable, flexible, deal with sweat, and act as insulation. I am not intimately familiar with the material, but I know a bit about insulation.
For insulating an object, there are definitely more effective materials that will cost a lot less. Anything works as insulation: bums stuff old newspaper in their shirts. How well it works and how much it costs are both criteria. If you have an object that needs insulation, there are definitely better choices than Under Armor material, but sure, it will provide some insulation.
