If I leave a sealed, half-full of water, steel water bottle sitting out for 7 days, green stuff starts growing. It’s sealed. Where does the mold come from? How does it form? Thanks.
Mold spores are far too small to see with the naked eye and are nearly everywhere. They’re just waiting for a the right environment to grow in- dark, damp, and not to hot or cold…like your water bottle.

If it is completely sealed, it was already in there when you sealed it. But as mold needs oxygen to grow I would first assume that your bottle is not actually sealed.
