The gunk in the air (grease/body stuff/animal hair) that stuff is also up there. While it’s not made of super glue, it’s enough to stick.

Dust particle has a small surface area, so the miniscule amount of wind that hits it while the fan rotates isnt enough to break the friction it has from contact with the fan.

And here i thought its the friction between the air and the blades charging the surface for the dust to stick.
