Say a molecule has only one known receptor( receptor A) that it bind to. How does one go about finding other receptors it might bind to? Is there a database where you can find receptors that look structurally similar to receptor A and then do experiments to find the binding affinity?

So your question does make sense. It is very rare that you have a molecule that only binds to one receptor, evolution likes to reuse things because it takes less energy. That being said, this is very much a 400 to 500 level question. While there are databases of enzymatic receptors they are hugely unweildy and the experiments required to determine activators are extremely complex.
