How do websites that have no ads or any paid features make money?

They don’t have to. Sometimes they rely on donations (like Wikipedia). Sometimes they’re offered as a free service to an existing business’ customers. Sometimes they’re just hobby projects that someone pays for out of their own pocket.
Many will sell a physical product(s) and the website provides no direct income, some like Wikipedia generate revenue on a donation basis and some are hosted purely for the owners pleasure and will generate no income at all.
One way could be that they are selling data or information about their users. Another could be that the site actually doesn’t make any money, and there’s just some big investor pouring tons of money into the site to try to see it become big enough to sell.
