How do animals, like Lions, supress their hunger for long periods of time?

The same as humans – the adrenaline levels rise which helps with hunting and getting new food.
And since lions hunt large animals they can afford to eat a lot and then just doze off doing nothing and just digest for a while.

I’m not sure I understand the question.

How would you suppress your hunger for long periods of time if you didn’t have access to food? You’d be miserable for a while and then your body would somewhat adjust.

How would a lion suppress their hunger for long periods of time if they didn’t have access to food? They’d deal with it because there isn’t an alternative. Or they’d eventually starve to death.
