If you want to find a limit of a sequence, you compute members of that sequence until differences between them become small. It is not true limit, but it is close enough.
If you are talking about asymptotic distribution in statistics, they all have known formulas. “asymptotic” is an assumption the human analyst makes when they choose to use those formulas.
