Eli5: Why does it feel better when someone else rubs your feet or whatever compared to doing it yourself?

Your body is less sensitive to your own touch. Because your brain knows where every part of your body is and is expecting a touch when you touch yourself but if someone else touches you, your brain isn’t expecting it and because its a foreign object touching you it makes it much more sensitive so that you will notice it.
