Laughing is a form of communication. It’s like saying, “that was funny, wasn’t it?” And the other person saying, “Yes, it was.”

Hearing other people laugh makes you more likely to find something funny and laugh too. Hence why we have laugh tracks.

We don’t 100% know why we laugh, but we think it’s social and helps us cope with stress and manage difficult moments. Laughter is communication and part of how we maintain relationships with other humans. The observation that we don’t laugh nearly so much when we’re alone is actually evidence that it happens for a communicative, social reason!

I suppose it’s psychological, you are more likely to laugh when everyone else does So you know you aren’t weird (Extra simplified). Added laughs have simillar effect.
Also your company may be funny And add some jokes related to show.

Depends, to me I would laugh harder when I’m all alone, ALSO I can repeat the scene as many as I want. Even though I would still want to have company instead of being alone.

Um, people, don’t laugh when they’re alone?
