Apps and software get bigger/more difficult. So it’s not because older phones got slower themselves. The new software is just designed to work in newer phones.

This is mostly for a bump and id love someone with more knowledge to explain.

But from what I understand it has to do with the combination of more demanding software ie operating system, apps so on and that the battery gets weaker having a hard time keeping up 100% of the time. And of course the “conspiracy”? that the manufacturer deliberately slows it down so that you buy a new one.

So please don’t take this as truth and someone please explain!!!

All phones get slower over the years. Wear and tear on key components such as the cpu makes a big difference. You can prevent this by sparing it from having to process useless things, like closing apps and tabs when youre done using them. This will also spare the battery and make it last longer short term as well as long term
