does waist training/corseting actually work?

I’m a size 0 to 2 and I always wondered why I could never achieve that hour glass waist shape that I see some girls on social media have(See Alyssa D. Silos). Then I learned that some of them do something called “waist training”.

Is waist training safe and does it actually yield good results? Are the results semi permanent or permanent?

(P.S. I’m not trying to say that Alyssa does any sort of waist training, I’m just using her as an example of the type of “shape” that waist training can achieve)

It does work and over enough time of a rigorous enough schedule it can become semi-permanent, but it is not healthy. It forces your internal organs out of place and restricts movement, breathing, and blood flow.
