Yes. Plants rely on day length and temperature patterns to determine what season it is. If you plant them in Argentina, they’ll ripen six months off from the same plant in Germany.
That doesn’t mean you’ll always have the same success in the Southern Hemisphere though. There’s much less landmass south of the equator and much of it has its own unique climate that’s different than the massive continental expanses of North America and Eurasia.
