This article will deal with antique mahogany chest of drawers in the Georgian period. This is one of the most requested pieces of antique furniture. Mahogany began to be used in England in early 1720 and remained popular for over one hundred years. Antique chests of 1700, former are made of very dense mahogany mature. This wood is commonly called 'Cuban mahogany', but in fact came from Jamaica.

This antique mahogany chest has four graduated long drawers, with the first drawer has compartments and a slide cloth writing. Due to the weight of the drawer, pull-out is supported in lopers. The fascination that caused Thailand to be called the Land of Smiles is certainly the influence of Buddhism on his people. Realization of these facts, the rulers in Thailand have taken responsibility for the protection and promotion of Buddhism.

The rulers of Thailand have encouraged and supported the construction and maintenance of Buddhist monasteries, the monks by providing material needs and facilities for the performance of religious services, by patronizing their educational activities, like the councils to review the Buddhist Tripitaka and that the Scriptures translated into Thai, and reforming Sangha and appointed Supreme Patriarch able to govern the Order. Since BE 2446 (1903 CE), the State has also enacted laws that form the constitution under which the Sangha framework.

The Department of Religious Affairs was established in the Ministry of Education to establish close cooperation between the Order and the Government and to provide a channel through which the Sangha can communicate with government authorities and through, which the state can promote the welfare of the Sangha.

Four Buddhist holy days are recognized by the government as nationalholidays, namely, the Magha Puja Day, Visakha Puja Day, the Day Puja and Asalha Khao Pansa Day Almost all ceremonies of state and public administration are blessed by the participation and part of senior members of the Order. People also invite the monks to sing Sutra and the formulas of protection for their blessing and protection in all domestic rites such as housewarmings, birthday parties and weddings, and in particular to conduct funeral rites and memorial services for the benefit of the deceased. Thomas Chippendale was born in 1718. Considered as a form of large, has taken the best ideas of his time and incorporated it into their own ideas and projects and has to touch the Master for the complete product. He was a fine wood carver and his laboratory has produced some of the finest English furniture of his day. He was not only a good carver and a carpenter, was a good businessman as well. He published a book of his designs furniture and announced his wares. His book became a best seller than doubled its customers in number. His name became a by-word and rich Englishmen asked for his job. They just wanted to furniture produced from Chippendale's workshop. Name Chippendale became a precious commodity - was the first English cabinetmaker who made this value in its name as an artist in a great painting.

Book Chippendale furniture designs entitled "A Gentleman's cabinet-maker and director" has become the bible of English cabinetmaker. Most of the furniture during the time copied Chippendale his works with his designs as models for their work because there was so much demand from customers for its designs to better deliver what customers requested. This is why most of the furniture we refer to today as Chippendale was not actually executed by the Master himself and not from his shop but rather by other cabinetmakers who adapted his designs. Chippendale has taken a very broad range of different types of designs that makes it difficult to actually pin point Chippendale "Look" with great certainty.

Chippendale is considered the great adapter. Inspired by the styles of others, has adapted a special meeting desires and needs of its large customer base. From the first period Georgian, Chippendale adapted their simplifying their lines and lighten their looks. Gave more grace and charm to the project. How do I know if something is in bronze or brass?

I have a statue of Buddha Tibetan Tara. I inherited and the person who received the gift I inherited from someone who has traveled in India but I do not know how to tell if its bronze or brass and would like to find out.

Bronze is a color more opaque and has a dark brown color. Brass is brighter and sharper. The color should be like bronze or gold color in that family. (Think of a brass instrument like the trumpet or tuba) If you still can not be said, then take to a local store or a pawn shop nearby and might be able to tell the difference. Hope that helped!

Relevance dramatic half century modern design and continues to play a more important role today inspired design. While there are many who claim the furniture to be "mid-century modern "there are many defining characteristics that capture the essence of this period of modernism.

The most prominent characteristic of mid-century modern furniture is the clean lines and enchanting.
