It would be a large glass dish as a casserole dish?
I need to try to make a casserole, but I have a dish. I have an 8 by 8 cake pan and I have a couple glass plate things that seem to casserole dishes, but I fear that explode in the oven or something.
If they say "oven proof" on the bottom should be fine. The 8 X 8 may be the best solution if not. Do you have a crock-pot? You can change casseroles designed to work in one of these instead. Moreover, one could Skillet take an oven-proof your place in saucepan and cover with a sheet, if we assume that it is covered or left uncovered, if the recipe calls for.
It 'OK to leave the butter out of the refrigerator in a covered dish?
I always leave my butter in a dish covered with butter and refrigerate as my Gran always used to do it. I wonder if it is safe to do? How much time should be kept to the end and I poisoning myself? I mean outside refrigerator always - why put away!
You need to be guided by time on this. If it is not too hot, then it is good to leave out all the time is a covered dish and away from direct sunlight. (Too difficult to spread if kept in refrigerator). They are actually very inexpensive, and is easier to just buy a new one. I used to keep two - one when I was cooking, and one for when it was not! Now I have a good high range. If you really want cleaning, SOS or Brillo (soap + steel wool) pad. In this case you could not do the trick. I also use oven cleaner on them. Tip: Do not use aluminum foil pans or line with aluminum foil, which can cause a fire or cause the burner to short out. I know someone who has ruined all 4 burners on his stove that way; had to buy a new stove.
