Oriental Red

Eastern or Asian furniture inspired, can be difficult to describe, is one of those things where you know only when you see it. But if you are redecorating your home, and using an Asian-style furnishings inspired as the theme, there are a few tips that I can share with you the choice of furniture with a Far-East, Moroccan or Indian influences inspired.

1. Go for dark woods: Even when a moving part is not specifically labeled or described as "Asian-inspired," a general rule for the purchase of furniture to compliment the theme is to go with pieces of dark wood. Since I do not mean dark cherry or mahogany - but black or ebony colored wood. Now, of course There are exceptions to every rule and there will be pieces that are very inspired by the Orient, but made with lighter materials. In these cases we will rely on other aspects of Asian culture to tie everything into

2. Skip the brass hardware: In general, you will not find a lot of silver or gold colored hardware on furniture inspired Oriental influences in order to complete your Asian inspired room - look for pieces with hardware (knobs and the like) who have some 'scratches or worn look - if If at all. The exception to this rule is a piece of gold or silver containing images or Asian symbolism, like a dragon, elephant or a script calligraphy Chinese.

3. Do not be afraid of red: We tend to avoid the color red in our concepts of decoration, especially when it comes large pieces and choices of paint colors. Now again, speaking in general - is fine. Do not want to go overboard with color, especially when using Feng Shui concepts. However, the color red is a wonderful accent to use in your theme design. In Chinese culture, red is the energy of fire and symbolizes luck and joy. Find the color in the foreground during the Chinese New Year, family gatherings such as weddings and symbolizes happiness. Adding a red console table or table accent in a room will invite the energy of happiness in your home.

4. Play on prints: There is some pictures that have become a trademark, so to speak, of the Asian-style design. I mentioned the use of Chinese calligraphy in tip # 2, along with Japanese Kanji symbols -- find this information on a lot of contemporary furniture and wall decorations. You may also want to consider accent tables with applications of paintings of cherry blossoms, the dragon and Phoenix, elephants or other conventional approaches in Asia.

There are other things that highlight the rich culture of the Middle and Far East, including the use of natural wood, specifically bamboo, clean lines, saddle-style tables, and tables that sit low (er) to the ground than normal.

They cross the exotic sea that spawned Homer's tales of Ulysses' Odyssey, then sail through the strife torn Red Sea and across the typhoon tossed waters of the Bay of Bengal. In this book, fourth of the Seraffyn series, the Pardeys have reached a turning point in their lives -- halfway around the world, eight years into a meandering voyage. Their routes had always been determined by the need to find the work to support their cruising life-style, or the desire to see an island spoken of by some favorite writer. Now they have to decide whether to continue eastward, or turn back westward and complete the circle with a return to the place they once called home. The underlying theme of Seraffyn's Oriental Adventure is the demands of passage making as they sail up through the China Seas and across the North Pacific.

Oriental Shiraz

Oriental Persian carpets come from big cities like Isfahan and villages, as Haghighi, Mahan and Arak. One of the most famous Persian rugs from a village called Ardabil. Property, not one of those sites has produced the type of Persian carpets that once felt the feet of Persian aristocrats and their slaves. Those were the eastern Persian carpets in the ancient city of Persepolis.

Twenty-five centuries ago Persepolis, which is located about 20 minutes driving time from today Shiraz, the contents of the royal Achaemenian dynasty. In this palace glittered golden candlesticks, golden bowls and pots of gold. On the floor of the building that stretched beautiful, oriental rugs Persian. The Weavers carpet for the palace of Persepolis in their carpets woven thin threads of gold.

Twenty-five centuries ago when Alexander the Great marched with his army into Persia, its forces captured the city of Persepolis. Alexander and his men gawked at the beauty of oriental rugs Persian. It is possible that one or more of these rugs caught the eye men who wanted to loot the palace. These evil rolled-up carpet that most struck their fancy, loaded them on wagons of the army and carried on. Today, hidden somewhere in Afghanistan, a beautiful Persian rug should lie on the floor of any home or office.

Like many Oriental rugs are Persian Alexander and take his men of Persia? There is really no way to know. Historians are sure, however, that many Persian carpets went up in smoke. Alexander eventually put a lighted torch to all the buildings in Persepolis. For this reason, the beautiful Persian oriental rugs, with their exquisite gold threads, are no more stories to be written by Alexander and his men.

Maybe one day, someone in Afghanistan discover one of those exquisitely beautiful Persian rugs.
