About a year ago I purchased an entry level mountain bike disk. At the time I did not want to spend lots of money and I did not want poor quality. Then buy a motorcycle that had a good frame and basic components.
After driving for a year I decided that I want to improve the comfort and control of my bike on the course. So made the decision to upgrade my front suspension fork on my rigid mountain bike.
My initial research has concluded that there are a lot of different brands, types and size ranges on the market so I granted knew I needed help. After all, forks suspension are expensive and I did not want to waste my money.
After talking to several races, a few employees to bike shops, read the article and Posting questions on-line I have put together a couple of points to consider when buying a front suspension fork.
Determine if the bike is the geometry in support of a suspension fork. If you do not have the correct geometry to try to determine the maximum height that can accommodate fork. I purchased nearly 160 millimeters, with a range of travel, but the seller convinced me not to buy it because he thought my bike did not have the correct geometry. After checking with the factory decided that I was correct.
Consider your driving style. A six-country skiing, a valley or a dirt jump rider. Make sure you buy a fork that suite your style of driving. This will help prevent you from buying more, then you need to fork.
Determine your budget and stick to it. Suspension forks can vary in price and can be very expensive. However, if you ride, often a little 'spending more on a range could be justified.
Determine the size of the head tube bicycles. The size of the pipe could limit selections. Your head tube 1 inch or 1 1 / 8 inches, etc?
Consider buying a suspension fork is adjustable. Some forks are adjustable for head and some have a lock pop regulator that mounts on the handlebars. The task of regulating land accommodate different riding.
Determine if you need to buy new components for the installation of the new fork. You need a new headset, stem and brakes?

Robert Wallace was born in 1815 in Scotland, for a family in a long series of silversmith. By the time it was 16, began his apprenticeship in Meriden Britannia Company under Captain William Mix.
