Kashan rugs usually feature a diamond-shaped medallion with small, matching spandrels in a floral field. Some are woven with all-over fields of Shah Abbas flowers or pictorial and hunting scenes. Traditional Kashan colors are red and blue, but some newer rugs have also been woven in tones of pale beige, grey-blue and olive green. Public transport in Paris: From Montmartre area to the Palace of Versailles?

The first time in Paris: I wanted to know what is the best method (public) transport from the area of Montmarte to the Palace of Versailles. Any information on what train / RER / bus I need to catch would appareciated. Also ... The Opening at the Palace would be nice too. When you open and close.

The easiest way is to walk to Gare du Nord, take RER B towards Robinson / St-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse in St-Michel Notre Dame (2 stops from Gare du Nord) in which to embark on the RER C direction Versailles Rive Gauche. The castle is the last stop on the line. The journey takes around 50 minutes and costs € 2.90 one way. On the way back, look for the opposite direction on the map: RER C to Paris + RER B to Airport CDG / Mitry-Claye: http://www.ratp.info/ Orient / HP / cv_en / carteparis.php RER B is the thick blue line running north-south and RER C is the thick yellow line that runs riverside. Connect to the south of the river, outside of Notre Dame. Here is the castle's official website: http://www.chateauversailles.fr/en/570_Opening_times_and_prices.php?idT=2

Oriental Red

Eastern or Asian furniture inspired, can be difficult to describe, is one of those things where you know only when you see it. But if you are redecorating your home, and using an Asian-style furnishings inspired as the theme, there are a few tips that I can share with you the choice of furniture with a Far-East, Moroccan or Indian influences inspired.

1. Go for dark woods: Even when a moving part is not specifically labeled or described as "Asian-inspired," a general rule for the purchase of furniture to compliment the theme is to go with pieces of dark wood. Since I do not mean dark cherry or mahogany - but black or ebony colored wood. Now, of course There are exceptions to every rule and there will be pieces that are very inspired by the Orient, but made with lighter materials. In these cases we will rely on other aspects of Asian culture to tie everything into

2. Skip the brass hardware: In general, you will not find a lot of silver or gold colored hardware on furniture inspired Oriental influences in order to complete your Asian inspired room - look for pieces with hardware (knobs and the like) who have some 'scratches or worn look - if If at all. The exception to this rule is a piece of gold or silver containing images or Asian symbolism, like a dragon, elephant or a script calligraphy Chinese.

3. Do not be afraid of red: We tend to avoid the color red in our concepts of decoration, especially when it comes large pieces and choices of paint colors. Now again, speaking in general - is fine. Do not want to go overboard with color, especially when using Feng Shui concepts. However, the color red is a wonderful accent to use in your theme design. In Chinese culture, red is the energy of fire and symbolizes luck and joy. Find the color in the foreground during the Chinese New Year, family gatherings such as weddings and symbolizes happiness. Adding a red console table or table accent in a room will invite the energy of happiness in your home.

4. Play on prints: There is some pictures that have become a trademark, so to speak, of the Asian-style design. I mentioned the use of Chinese calligraphy in tip # 2, along with Japanese Kanji symbols -- find this information on a lot of contemporary furniture and wall decorations. You may also want to consider accent tables with applications of paintings of cherry blossoms, the dragon and Phoenix, elephants or other conventional approaches in Asia.

There are other things that highlight the rich culture of the Middle and Far East, including the use of natural wood, specifically bamboo, clean lines, saddle-style tables, and tables that sit low (er) to the ground than normal.

How can I decorate a living room / kitchen area with navy blue carpet?

I just moved into a small apartment that has navy blue carpet in the entire matter. The walls are white and the kitchen floor is tiled in white with a little 'dark blue in it. I want you to really have a kind of earth-hippie feel too with lots of candles and incense. Originally I had planned to use orange and green and burnt. However, the navy blue carpet is a kind of standing in my way that. Any ideas on what colors to use or to spare the center and stuff?

I would think that browns, oranges in the right of the color wheel would look really good. Somewhere in this mix, throw just a little navy of mixing everything together. You need to find complementary colors, which are directly opposite the color you is trying to match. I included a link to show you.
