How do I install in the summer, lovers of tea make the switch from hot tea to iced tea. Many occasional tea drinkers also choose to iced tea, even if it is not frozen - only cold. I'm talking about the many canned and bottled, ready to drink teas that are available to almost every food store in America.

There are many types to choose from, some of their flavor, and some of them softened. It 'sad to see them ready to drink tea are the only type of iced tea that some people are aware when it's so easy to make your own iced tea, which is far, far better than what you can buy over the counter.

You can also find ready to drink tea proudly proclaim that "Southern Style" on their labels, but I guarantee that almost everyone will enjoy the real thing more. In the southern United States, sweet iced tea is a traditional drink that is simply known as "Tea". No need to remember the sweetness, or ice! You'll find it in almost all the south of the refrigerator, and is usually made by the gallon. It 'been called both the house wine and champagne in the south.

Iced black tea was not popular until about 1884. Before that time, the green iced tea was very popular in the United States, usually in a kind of punch that was heavily laced with alcohol and known as Regent's Punch. However, there was also a small group of fans of green tea ice preferred their tea very sweet as tea today ... sugar and all.

Black tea began to be appreciated as an iced tea around 1904, when the samples of which were given to the Fair World of St. Louis, Missouri. Contrary to popular belief, iced tea was not invented by man, Richard Blechynden, that tea was commissioner for India. He has just brought to the attention of the mass of the fairgoers, who probably has the memory of delicious iced tea back home with them, and began to make in house to house.

Apparently, word spread about how good iced tea was black, because he has continued to grow in popularity. I'm not sure I like the thought that is a Southern tradition, as tea is, but it could be very good! Sometimes, the best recipe for Sweet tea is a combination of more than a recipe! Start with a good black tea. Should not be labeled as specifically for iced tea, as are some brands. All grades of black tea, Orange Pekoe preferred, he will. Some people prefer to use tea in bags, while others do not think of using anything but loose tea. Loose tea seems to impart more of a sweet tea taste of tea. Use the best water - preferably not tap water! Spring water or filtered water in much of sweet tea.

Here is a how to prepare sweet tea, which is somewhat 'unusual, but makes excellent sweet tea. Using three "family size" or size of 8 Bags tea or an equal amount of loose tea. Place 1 Â ½ to 2 cups of sugar in a good sized pitcher. Add about 2 cups of water Cold. When the tea is done steeping, remove tea bags and pour the tea through a strainer to remove tea leaves. You can use a pitcher for that. Once strained, pour the tea into the pitcher with water and sugar, and stir vigorously to combine. You may need to add a little 'more water is the right one. Place the jug in the refrigerator until time to serve.

A most common way to prepare sweet tea is as follows. Place tea (about the same amount referred to above) in an empty gallon size glass jar. Pour in about 3 cups of freshly boiled water. Allow the tea to steep for 8 to 10 minutes. Add sugar (same amount as above) for hot tea and stir to dissolve. Add enough water to double the amount of liquid that is already in the jar. Shake to mix, and refrigerate until cold. Serve.
