52 – The Silence – Stillness – Endless Mountain
Being motionless and without sound is favored at this juncture. He cultivates his meditation and turns his eye inward. It is fine to be among people, but best not to notice them or pay them attention. Our energy shall be concentrated on bringing all affairs to a graceful and joyous stop. There will be a time for action, but now is the time for silence.
1st – A Simple Silence – Nothing to say, nowhere to go, nothing to do; yet we remain joyous. Simplify and silence.
2nd – A Tardy Silence – He wanted to find silence and stop, but the decision came after the train had been set rolling. His heart laments, for some may have been left behind.
3rd – Silence in the Loins – He wants to be so holy and cease all his desires, but is not yet advanced enough to undertake this. This (sexual) tension burns him away and suffocates his heart. May be it is better at this time to fulfill our desires, to do otherwise would be unhealthy.
4th – A Healthy Silence – He ceases everything. Action, desire and mind. This is healthy and correct at the present time, for we were well prepared for such a thing.
5th – Silencing the Words – He who say less is heard more clearly. He who says nothing is understood completely.
6th – Silent like the Mountain – The song of silence rings through the air as they realize that they are both staring at the same spot on the ceiling.
All Six – Transcending the Silence – Everything will have its end, even the silence. Prepare to go forth. Slowly but surly.
