49 – The Revolution – Change – Boiling Water

Revolution! Drastic Change! Nobody has faith in it until the day of completion. The wise man ignores the doubters and presses forward with his cause. The revolution is the time to choose a side, to believe in a cause and press forward with absolute determination. Do not expect support from the people, for the cause is risky and they are yet fearful. But know that after it has been completed, that we will have the full support of the populace.

1^st – Strengthening the Revolution – We do not yet have the necessary strength to carry forward with our plans. Better now to strengthen the foundation with ropes and knots.

2^nd – Waiting for the Revolution – To advance now would bring defeat. Better to wait until the revolution has been completed. By waiting and then advancing on the ‘All Clear’ sign, the wise man finds unexpected good fortune.

3^rd – Talk of the Revolution – While it is still no more than an idea, it would be wise to wait. However, after the idea is talked about three times, then we should press forward with determination and fury.

4^th – Support for the Revolution – The people agree that it would be for the best and support the institution of a new government. It is the time for a new way of doing things.

5^th – Revolution of the Tiger – He charges against his objective with uncanny brilliance and confidence. Nothing can stop us now. Our confidence is so great that there is really no need to ask the oracle.

6^th – Revolution of the Leopard – Leading with the swift grace of a leopard, those on the other side promptly switch their allegiance to his cause. Now that this is done, he does not advance further, but rather consolidates the present position.

All Six – A Stranger to the Revolution – We seem to have missed the bus and there is much going on to which we are not aware. Instead of wasting our energy, trying to join this cause, perhaps it is better to cultivate in another place, a place where we have power.
