29 – The Abyss – Darkness – Endless Water

If we stare into the abyss long enough, the abyss will start to stare back at us. Black upon a black river forever flowing with no beginning and no end. Walking along, he falls into a crack. Despair! No quarter is being given, we descend into a struggle to maintain our very existence and must conjure a steadfast fire in our belly and use all means necessary to strike back and free ourselves from the tentacles of this encroaching danger. We must now do what we must do, for if we fail, there will be no tomorrow.

1^st – Falling into the Abyss – The ground opens under his feet and he tumbles into the endless river. Everything is broken and all roads lead to confusion.

2^nd – Lurking in the Abyss – He is hunted by the predator as he blindly stumbles through the dark alleyways. He is able to find food to sustain himself, but by no means escapes the danger.

3^rd – Stuck in the Abyss – Falling into a hole, he breaks his leg. He can cry for help, but his screams will go unheeded as he slowly withers away, only to be comforted by the echoes of his own pain.

4^th – A Hole in the Abyss – There is an airhole in the dark prison and a companion is able to pass him bread to sustain the body and wine to ease the pain. Nevertheless, he is still stuck in the abyss.

5^th – The Shallow Abyss – It was not as deep as previously thought. He is still unable to break free, yet hope now looms in the air.

6^th – Imprisoned in the Abyss – He is captured and bound with black rope. For three years he remains imprisoned, serving as a battery to fuel another’s twisted existence.

All Six – Breaking free from the Abyss – A choir of angels sing as the first light of the new golden dawn shines upon the bars of his prison. All bonds are released as he now flies towards that which will be. Cool!
