Tourists traveling to the city of Aberdeen are facing the difficult task of having so many different attractions to choose from that do not know where to begin. And 'titillating to have a problem, certainly, but still requires some thought. Those inclined towards culture, art and history can not be wrong when you select one of the following excellent museums.
1. Aberdeen Art Gallery
Located in an elegant Victorian building on Schoolhill, Aberdeen Art Gallery is open every day 2 to 5 on Sunday and 10-5 during the rest of the week. Admission is free.
Opened in 1885, the Aberdeen Art Gallery is one of this day one of the most popular tourist attractions of the city. The Art Gallery boasts a magnificent marble and granite main hall, as well as many large rooms decorated with hundreds of paintings and sculptures ranging from impressionist works of art to modern pieces and works by Scottish Colourists. On a regular basis, many of today's acclaimed artists stage exhibition Special to the Aberdeen Art Gallery.
The gallery also boasts a fine collection of antique silverware and decorative works. Visitors can also see contemporary craft and a wide range of decorative art.
2. The Gordon Highlanders Museum
Located on St Lukes Viewfield Road, Gordon Highlanders Museum is open for a limited time only each year, especially on the first Tuesday of the month of April to the last Sunday of October, 10:30-4:30 pm and 1:30-4:30 on Sundays for the rest of the week. Establishment is closed from November to March, except for special events.
If your time is limited, the Gordon Highlanders Museum is worth a look, as told the dramatic story of one of the regiment marked the British army in detail. The Museum has memories from the life of the regiment outstanding personalities, the soldiers kilt from north-east of Scotland, and salutes their achievements.
This small museum, is an absolute must for fans of military history and the features regular films on the history of the regiment. Among the exhibits is a real car flag from Hitler's Nazi staff.
All children are welcome to try on a number of replicas of the uniforms of the regiment
3. Maritime Museum
Scottish Tourist Board rates this old gem on the cobbles Shiprow Street as a star with five attraction. E 'open daily 12-3 and Sundays 10-5 the rest of the week. Admission is free.
Built in 1593, the Aberdeen Maritime Museum recounts in vivid detail the history of the city's long relationship with the sea. 4. Marischal Museum
The pride of Broad Street extends for more than eight centuries of local and world history, and is open daily 10-5 and 2-5 on Sundays the rest of the week. Admission is free.
Founded in 1786, the Marischal Museum is the second largest granite structure more largest in the world. Much of his collection came from donations from early generations of friends and graduates of Marischal University. As a result, unique collections are of high quality, in particular the Egyptian and classical antiquities, ethnography, not Western and Scottish prehistory and numismatics that rank alongside the largest in Scotland.

5. Provost Skene's House
At the center of Granite City is located Provost Skene's House, the oldest resident of the city and an architectural marvel absolute.
