Thomas Chippendale was born in 1718. Considered as a form of large, has taken the best ideas of his time and incorporated it into their own ideas and projects and has to touch the Master for the complete product. He was a fine wood carver and his laboratory has produced some of the finest English furniture of his day. He was not only a good carver and a carpenter, was a good businessman as well. He published a book of his designs furniture and announced his wares. His book became a best seller than doubled its customers in number. His name became a by-word and rich Englishmen asked for his job. They just wanted to furniture produced from Chippendale's workshop. Name Chippendale became a precious commodity - was the first English cabinetmaker who made this value in its name as an artist in a great painting.

Book Chippendale furniture designs entitled "A Gentleman's cabinet-maker and director" has become the bible of English cabinetmaker. Most of the furniture during the time copied Chippendale his works with his designs as models for their work because there was so much demand from customers for its designs to better deliver what customers requested. This is why most of the furniture we refer to today as Chippendale was not actually executed by the Master himself and not from his shop but rather by other cabinetmakers who adapted his designs. Chippendale has taken a very broad range of different types of designs that makes it difficult to actually pin point Chippendale "Look" with great certainty.

Chippendale is considered the great adapter. Inspired by the styles of others, has adapted a special meeting desires and needs of its large customer base.
