Can I give a 7 months old with his butter some of its food?

I mashed my 7 months old daughters food, then freeze in Ice Cube Trays. After that it is locked, I transfer to freezer bags. I have some frozen mashed potatoes. When I feed them to her, were quite thick. With others food, I just add a little 'of water to dilute it. But with the potatoes, I wondered if I could use a little 'of butter? Have you ever had your old butter 7 months? Should I wait longer? What are the reasons for its not butter feed at this age? Thank you!

It is used as somewhat 'of butter on my child's food and because they have stopped eating mashed food to about 6.5 or 7 months or so. I have used the oven cinnamon carrots, apples baked in mashed potatoes, etc. (not a LOT only a few) I just use unsalted butter for its food. I threw a little 'milk in the potatoes.
