You can study Roman history withen a department of history and get a degree.?

You can study Roman history in a department of history rather Classics that department? I can not find a school that is of any Roman or ancient history as a curriculum. Every story seems to be old classics in the department. 'm Watching in the wrong schools or degree as Roman history or ancient history outside of the department of classics.

As you are (probably) American, and I am not I can really give 100% accurate advice. Which universities offer the possibility of history varies considerably for graduates. The best thing you can do is ask your preferred universities, and go from there. Suppose that your university offers courses only in the Classics department, ask them which offers undergraduate courses in the Faculty of history, and at what level / detail. Should know. Good luck!
